Annapolis To Get a Train System?

Looks like Paul Foer was on to something when he polled the Annapolis community about wanting a a train service between our city and Baltimore. This issue has now been turned over to Maryland legislators. The state thinks it will take one year to complete the study. But we want it now! Is there any chance we will get a monorail?

I agree. However, why a monorail? That’s a lot of technology, and a lot of cost. Besides, the key to successful transit systems is eliminating transfers. I wouldn’t support a monorail substitute for more orange line if there’s no reason not to extend the orange line. That being said, the less money you can spend and get away with it, the happier the NIMBY people and the rail-hating rednecks are.
